TOP quality weaners were on display at two spring-drop calf sales despite a relatively dry first half of the year. Exporters show keen eye on heifers.

A SMALL offering of weaners failed to attract a big spread of buyers, while prices eased from last month. FEEDLOTS hooked into heavy cattle, with a high-quality yarding meeting strong competition. Weaners attract interstate interest.

PRICES for lighter weight spring drop calves impressed vendors as buyers from across Victoria and interstate showed interest. Premium for quality steers.
